More posters!!

Here's some more fun posters for my classrooms. Only the orange one is old. I use it to post what each grade level is working on. The Picasso quote is a favorite of mine and I made the poster on my computer. Its a regular piece of blue card stock that I'm going to frame.The others I got from Pinterest and used the poster maker to print them in color.

New Posters!

I made these posters for my classroom for the upcoming school year. I printed out what I wanted and then used our teacher center's poster maker. The poster maker is the best invention ever because all you have to do is bring in what you want and it prints it out bigger and you can also do different colors! I'm excited about these!
The first one has what I printed with die cuts added. The other pictures are of my favorite poster that I colored with markers after I printed it.
More posters to come!

5 years!

I got my 5 year paperweight last week! It went by so fast. I have so many more great teaching years to come!

Penguin in the Summer

This was an end of the year project that the students did in 1-2 days. Their job was to draw a penguin and add a background that shows the penguin on summer vacation...Got a few sunburned penguins and some eating ice cream or at the pool. :)

Book Character 2013

This year for our annual book character dress up, I was from the book Big Bouffant.
I had so much fun with this!

I felt very creative for making my dress out of paper :)
All day long the kids asked if that was my real hair (It was a wig) :)

Paper Masks!

 5th and 6th graders made these great paper masks. Everything had to be made out of paper, and the mask had to be symmetrical. These were inspired from masks around the world. I love the uniqueness of each mask!

5th grade Oil Pastel and Watercolor Sea Turtles

These are done in watercolor with an oil pastel resist. First, students draw the turtles, then they create a design on the shell. Next, they color it with oil pastels. Finally, they paint the background with watercolors in blue and green to get that ocean like water. I've also done it where they crumple their paper up before they paint. I've omitted that step the last few times they have done this because some students are a little bit rough on that step. My 5th graders did these with my long term sub when I was gone! I think they turned out great!
